Lead UX Designer — Design System — J.B. Hunt Transport

Project: J.B. Hunt Enterprise Design System
Developed and maintained an enterprise-scale design system  spanning 4 major sections (web, mobile, email, and data visualization). 
Wrote documentation and usage guidelines and provided images for over 50 web components and 30 mobile components.
Maintained a library of almost 300 custom, visually cohesive icons.
Worked tightly with design system developers to create core UI infrastructure for development teams, supporting over 3,000 IT professionals.
Project: Figma Software Transition (2023)
Developed a business case for the UX Department to adopt Figma as their primary design software (from Adobe XD).
-  Developed and executed multiple pilot programs with affected roles (UX, Development, Product Owners, and Business Analysts).
-  Created enterprise standards and recommended best practices, such as branching, file naming, and review standards.
-  Developed presentations, videos, and guides to onboard designers to Figma and continue education.
-  Successfully migrated over 60 designers onto the new software using a phased approach.
Project: Figma Library Creation (Q1 2024 - Present)
Created and helped build 9 different interconnected Figma libraries, which are used by 45 teams and had a peak of 193,000 monthly inserts.
Helped create over 110 complex web components, 45 mobile components, and 30 chart types using consistent color, space, and typography variables supporting different variable modes.
Project: Design System Promotion and Training (Ongoing)
Delivered almost a dozen promotional videos announcing key design system features.
Gave instructional talks on design and visual principles essential for UX designers to understand.
Project: Standards and Patterns Initiative (Q1 - Present)
Researched gaps in multiple product UIs and developed a list of over 70 standards to document and UI patterns to define.
Prioritized and cataloged these standards, a project deemed critical by the department VP.
